Eleni Mouzourou (born in 1983 in Nicosia Cyprus) studied Visual Arts at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (2002-2005) and continued her studies at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste Hamburg (2006-2009). Mouzourou currently lives and works in Berlin.
Her practice involves several media including drawing, installation and participatory actions. Her works engage with the physical and mental experience of limits and territoriality. Mouzourou explores the connections and discontinuities between the microscopic and macroscopic scales of perception of natural and cultural phenomena. Traced lines in the space of a drawing, frontiers as lines drawn on a map, territorial borders or boundaries of psychological nature are thereby reflected as possible interrelated fields of tension. If ‘that which joins and that which divides is one and the same’, she seeks for the common ground in the in-between zones that thereby occur.

Since 2010 Mouzourou has an ongoing collaboration with Kunstwerkstatt Mosaik Berlin, a workspace for artists with disabilities, as an artistic assistant and project developer.
